72 Yamaha LT2 Front Sprocket Size ?? was created by Le7316

I’m going to replace the countershaft seal next week and would like to replace the front sprocket while I’m there but I don’t know the standard size of this sprocket . Also , what socket do I need to loose the nut ?

Thanks

Typos and official updates aside, Yamaha parts and service manuals are probably the best places to start.

Parts manual (see attached) indicates 13 tooth. Note that other sizes are available, but "UR" in the manual means "Use as Required" and usually refers to an optional (ie non standard) part.

Maybe use the "Search Forum" button to see if any members recommend deviating from the standard set up for certain uses - eg road/pavement use only, or dirt only.
