New DT/RT air filters was created by Gr8uncleal

I don't think that my memory is what it used to be!

I fitted a new, genuine Yamaha air filter to my DT3 this afternoon and noticed that it was pre-oiled, so presumably doesn't need oiling again before fitting? I don't remember the air filter for my RT2 that I got three or so years ago being pre-oiled - again, genuine Yamaha.

I have 3 air filter elements part # 308-14451-09 that I bought 3-4 years ago. They do not have oil. I only ride on the street so I don't oil mine.
The hours spent riding my Enduros is not deducted from my life span.

Thanks for the replies chaps.

I've just gone back and checked my records and it would appear that there has been a part supersession - the suffix is now "08" instead of "09", presumably reflecting the change from dry to pre-oiled.

Wish I'd checked before ordering some new filter oil!

The new Yamaha air filter I'd ordered for my DT2 this past winter came pre oiled. Same as you, GR8unceal, I'd just bought a bottle of filter oil before it arrived.
