Main shaft end play was created by EM ONE

Ive just taken off the clutch from my 73 RT£ basket and all,and noticed quite a bit of end play,its not so noticeable with the clutch on,but without theres about 4 mill end play,is this normal

Clutch inner hub nut on end of shaft holds shaft in place when all spacers and bushings are there.

 Nut holds it over & circlip holding the bearing in the case keeps it all over to the right. There's a washer the far end but can't do much if the shaft nut is tight. I have had [on my worn trans] where dog damage has pushed hard trying to get free & curved the circlip outwards. At most you might get another couple of mm over std play. I'm sure i'm worrying you about nothing.

Sorry, writings all over the place adding pic. Circlip 17 & washer 11 i was talking about. Don't worry, unless you've been having problems with the trans & you're trying to solve them.

Cheers guys for your responce .the clutch in general doesnt feel great compared to others ive used,it feels heavy,with little sweep at the lever ,ive fitted new springs,so ill test these before i go any further,then report back if anything is amiss.
