Speedo Cable was created by Jaydee

Hi
Had been looking for a suitable replacement speedo cable for my Yamaha CT2 175cc 1972 as the original was pretty shot but still worked and was struggling to find one, at a reasonable price.

I came accross this one, the dimensions advertised appeared to fit (other than the 14mm push in fitting).  The cable was listed for Yamaha YB 100 1978-1992 I took a risk (£4.99 inc postage UK).  So i bought one from Scooters and Bikes (via Ebay UK).

I had expected to have to make a sleeve to bring the push in fitting to 18mm (advertised as 14mm) but was prepared to do this in order to get a working cable. Was very pleasantly surprised to find it actually was 18mm (not 14mm  as advertised) and fitted perfectly.

I would like you to know that it fits almost perfectly.  I did fit a 18mm washer below the "push in fitting" to bring it to the same depth as original but probably not required really.

maybe this may help someone else.

Cheers Jaydee
