Ct3 battery was created by Bartman512

Finally got this box of barn find CT3 together and fired up now and I need to find a battery that will fit in this tiny origional battery box. Any rec's? Real curious to see if the headlight works as the old harness is pretty crusty, but it does have the old left handlebar switch which are hard to find it seems.

Here's a link to what some of us in the UK have used.

Parts list will give details of original wet battery if you want to go that way and these are still available.

I put one of these in my CT3.....obviously not original, but its a sealed unit and provides better performance than the original style OEM batteries.

I use a 12v version in my Honda XR250.  Never had an issue with them taking or holding a charge and they're about 15 bucks when I need to replace them.

QM how did you modify the battery box to accommodate the wider battery? I was thinking the tabs on the rear fender side of the box would need to be bent out then some sort of extension added. Definitely want to ditch the acid type.

That is exactly what I did....... bent the rear tab back, which allows it to sit down the in the box ...... its sits in the box on an angle but it doesn't move around.
