CT3 Found on a Facebook Rants and Raves Page was created by apex
I received a text from a friend, he found a post on a Facebook Rants & Raves page, a CT3 sitting on a sidewalk and the listing said it's FREE come and get it! Like an good Enduroholic I told him "Go Get It Man!" So he went after it and unfortunately the woman giving it away promised it to someone else who was going to get a truck. He left and called to tell me this, and I said "Go Offer Her $100!" He turned around, went back, turns out he knows the woman from high school (36 years ago!), explained about the $100 and that his buddy has an "Enduro disease.." And that did it, he loaded it up and took it to his place. I picked it up a week ago. Piston stuck, but, what a score!

Going to need an ignition switch. Look at the size of that heat shrink! The PO really thought that would cover his wire nut bird's nest?!?
Too bad the original fender is gone. Boy are they pricey now.
PO had already had the head off, the bolts were loose and the head gasket gone. Sprayed PB Blaster on top of the piston and let it sit a day. Found that the puddle of PB was gone, and with no ports exposed, though it's time to see if it freed up. Wrench on the flywheel bolt and "POP," but not a smooth turner, kind of lumpy. Have many projects in front of this but it's got great bones, and I'll post up the resurrection here.

Unscrupulous shenanigans, I pity the poor sod that went off to get the truck!

Well good for you, I guess. although when I give someone my word or a handshake on a deal, I keep my word, sometimes all we have left in this world is our word. Surely no one would appreciate being on the other side of the fence, (the guy that went to get the truck) either way like I said good it worked for you, just not my style to try and make a deal like that, my response would have been if he doesn’t come back with a truck in what you feel is a reasonable time frame please give me a call, I am very interested in the bike, I guess sometimes you snooze you lose, especially on a free bike, just wouldn’t feel right getting a bike under those circumstances, if I was that guy I would not have left to go get a truck, I would have started pushing it home.

Blimey, ummm, did they have a 'thing' going on at highschool to over-ride a promise to the first guy. Poor first guy & lucky you i guess. Not how i'd do it but!!. That's why i think an auction or buynow with a button to push is the best way as is clear cut. Just saying.
