Kick Start Install was created by Bigredram

As soon as the rest of my parts arrive I will put my CT3 crankcase cover back on.
When I pulled the cover off the kick starter ended up on my oil catch pan. The spring was not engaged so I am a little lost on how to reinstall and get tension on the return spring. Is there a step by step technical instruction sheet anyone can share?

There are instructions in the forum search. I just  had to do it today myself. Darinm showed a trick with a screwdriver and the Kickstarter temporarily put back on the shaft (Kickstarter acts as an anchor so you can grab the spring with the tip of the screwdriver). It takes a little finessing But it’s a good technique to pre stretch the spring and get it ready to grab the actual anchor stud. I now hold the Kickstarter shaft in place when removing the clutch cover. Saves some time.
