The best ID info is available in the Tech Library here. Sure looks like a 73 DT3 but you really need to check the VIN as parts can be swapped and repainted.
1963 YG1-T, 1965 MG1-T, Allstate 250, 1970 CT1b, 1971 R5, 1973 AT3MX, 1974 TS400L, 1975 RD350, 1976 DT175C, 1976 Husqvarna 250CR, 1981 DT175G, 1988 DT50, 1990 "Super" DT50, 1991 RT180, 2017 XT250

Tiger, where are you getting "CT3" from? That's twice you've used it now. The CT bikes are 175cc.
As Pedalcrazy and MarkT said, that paintwork is for the 1973 DT3, but it could be that a previous owner applied this colour to a 1972 model DT2, and so comparing your frame/engine numbers to those in the VIN tables here is the only sure fire way of finding out.

Yes, 1973 model DT3 (see extract of VIN range from the Tech Library below). You might want to get the engine number corrected (to show the "F") on your V5 logbook.
The year of manufacture shown on the tag on the frame (if it's still there) might be 1972, but this is because Yamaha often manufactured their frames a year or so in advance of sale to the public. This means that, here in the UK, we'll often get an age related plate from DVLA that relates to the year before a model was actually sold here!
1973 DT3 Competition Green DT1F-135101 to 163431+
