And you still could take pictures of the area under the tank around the ignition coil and one of the experts on the RT3 will likely point out where it goes and/or what you’re missing. All kinds of things happen to these bikes over the last 50 years.

It sickens me that people would rather hack up a nice machine instead of just selling to to someone who would appreciate it. I had a decent one about 10 years ago and sold it. Should have kept it. Now I overpaid for this one and I have to make it right again. Thank you to everyone for this resource.

I'm not up on the play with this post but looks like i was woffling on the previous link. So just wanting to be sure that OP wasn't asking about where to mount a regulator. In the pic in the link i've not seen that type of rectifier for years although i'm sure my "70 AT1 has one come to think.

Would i need a rectifier even though i have a regulator? Electrical is my biggest weakness here and im just finally getting around to doing it for the first time.

Not my strong point either, but, Normally yes. The reg i'm talking is 'just that' & regulates the AC volts & the rectifier converts it to dc amps or volts. Now i need correcting haha.
