Ignition Switch? was created by RT3Sam

Has anyone replaced their ignition switch with an aftermarket one? Or does anyone know where I can find a replacement switch? Mine is starting to go bad, and I'm concerned about riding it to far away and breaking down.

Thanks
Sam

They can be taken apart, cleaned .lubricated and re-assembled.

+1 to the previous reply.

Also, remove the tank and check the wires and block connector for breaks/cracks.

I don't know how to do this myself, so you'll need a little help from others and maybe do some research yourself, but it is possible to bypass the ignition switch with a single wire to the coil - this might help if the switch fails when you are out and about.
