I let my first survivor RT3 get away, big regret, and now I have another for restoration. After rebuilding the carb, timing check, and the usual points, etc. it starts first kick, unbelievable. Got it back to survivor status and can't believe how much fun it is to ride, so different than the smaller enduros.
Preparing for the restoration is easier and way more fun for me to have the parts on hand so it goes quickly and doesn't drag out. Plus, I forget less and re-assembly goes better

.So I'm getting the never ending parts stash accumulated, getting close to having most all parts ready to go. Should be a great winter project.
Here's photo's of the bike as-was when found, restored to running riding status, and what awaits.
Maybe Santa will have a new Yamaha for me this year.
