Lost my Exhaust Baffle!!! was created by RT3Sam
So I rode my 73 RT3 on a 115 mile adventure ride on Sunday and during the ride my exhaust baffle shot out of my pipe! We searched and couldn't find it. We did find the set screw but no baffle. I looked on Bike Bandit and they don't have one, and searched E-Bay and there was one for $80!!! Does anyone know someone who sells these or makes them? My ears were ringing after riding the RT3 with no baffle.

Bummer. Have you tried a lost and found article, maybe on Facebook, or the local RV/Off-Road shop(s)? Someone probably picked it up and is wondering, what the hell does this fit?

This is funny. I had an Xducer on my 71 DT2 that had an expansion chamber so I wouldn't get arrested (it was LOUD) and I rounded a corner about 4 miles from my house and it flew off. It was immediately very LOUD and I had to ride back to get it. It was so hot I couldn't pick it up easily so I kicked it to the side of the road and let it cool. The set screw was gone so I bungeed it on the seat and rode home waiting for a policeman to pull me over. After that I had it tight and locktighted up real good. Those were the days. Now my 73 DT3 doesn't have a baffle in it and I think it is ok and my neighbors haven't complained so there you go. I've been thinking about sending it off for one of the sleeper mods....
