Fuel Mileage? was created by RT3Sam
I'm thinking of riding a local adventure ride this weekend. There is 80 miles between gas stops. What kind of gas mileage should I expect from my RT3? The oil injector is set correctly and it has a good top end. Thanks in advance!

I would carry gas. Friend has an RT2, solid top end running autolube, and he's done around the 60 mile mark.

Yes, the RT3 likes gas.
The hours spent riding my Enduros is not deducted from my life span.

Well shoot! I was hoping it was better than that. I ordered a 30oz Fuel Bottle to carry extra fuel, but if I'm only getting 60 miles on 2.5 gallons that mean 30oz will only get me 6 more miles. I should have installed a Clarke 3.5 gallon tank. Well, I'll figure something out. Thanks for the information!!

You might check with Hemibusa37... he regularly takes long trail rides with his 360. I think he straps a gallon can to the rack.
Actually he and Yamahoper both have the extensive experience of long rides and might give you some guidance on what you can expect. Might be worth a PM or two.

I ride mostly dirt / gravel forest service type roads and occasionally pavement and get a consistent 60 mph with my RT2 so I always figure I have a safe 120 mile range.

Miles per hour, or miles per gallon, do you mean?
