Foot Peg Pin Install? was created by LETSJET
Anybody got a good way to get a oem look when you mushroom the foot peg pin during installation? I used a press the first time and the pin sidewalls distorted. I plan on just hammering them by hand with the shown fitting. Got a smarter way to make it look good? The press fitting is just a generic one. Thanks all.

Speaking from no experience I’d try the old technique of hot riveting, get the end red hot then insert and peen it over with a big hammer

I would go for the later clevis pin fitment. I've done this myself and, of course, it makes any subsequent removal so much easier.

I have a good eye .
I have a good small plastic handled hammer which has a little flex.
Make sure the face of the hammer has no defects .
The anvil part of the vice and one good blow to the pin with the flat bit on the bottom .
I tried inventing a press method but encountered the same problem as stated.
Don't miss as it will be a bit messy should you try my method.
