Fits perfect and came jetted for the 250
Runs excellent right out of the box.

what adapter are you using to go from flange to spigot on your dt3 250 

Hey Denis Thanks for posting your success with the VM 28 carb. Who did you buy the carb from Sudco ? and did they supply the rubber spigot adapter ? thx Tom W

Blessings pon blessing beautiful creatures. I’m installing a carb for my 73’dt3 & finally found a local shop that is assisting in successfully locating a mikuni carb. I inquired about upgrading to a 32mm & the response was in opposition…  they said that the carb would rub against other parts & ultimately ruin & wear things down. So a 28mm is recommended. ¿Any thoughts?

6 years later and here is my update - the VM28 is working perfectly with very nice spark plug readings and a good full throttle and great part throttle riding.
I spend lots of my time at 50-55mph riding the backroads here in the Sacramento area. The Delta to be exact

Here is my jet setup
150 main jet
50 pilot
0-4 (169) Needle Jet
5F21 Jet needle
2.5 slide
Uni foam air filter
Maxima Super M oil in the injector system
91 pump gas from Chevron, Shell or 76
I live at sea level, in the winter it is cold and humid - 40 deg/60% plus and in the summer it is very dry and hot 90+deg/10% etc.
