1970 HT1 paint color was created by nersasian
Hello everyone,
I'm going to repaint my 1970 HT1 and I believe it is a candy gold color. Does anyone know, or have, the modern day color (candy gold), and where to get it? I know the stripes are white (probably the same as my 1970 CT1), but need the gold color.
Thanks,
Steve

Paint color is Candy Orange, same as the 69 DT1 250. Send your gas tank and any other candy orange items to 2 Brothers in Oklahoma City to have them repainted correctly. You will be glad you did unless you must paint them yourself. If so take a good clean painted piece down to a local paint store. Most can scan it and mix you up some paint. Good luck getting the strip correct if it matters to you.

Yamaha painted tank white, taped off the stripe, and then painted final color. Remove tape and you have the white stripe.
Motodad, now I think it's "Enduring Cycles" on ebay used to sell the proper 5.5mm wide tape for the stripe.
(Two Brothers is the best if going that route.
