L2 Mystery was created by Yamaha L2?

Hello all, I just bought a Yamaha L2-517XXX. On the steering column and motor.  It looks like this model of bike originated in Indonesia, which makes it all the more puzzling how it ended up here in Colorado. I'm just starting to dig into its history and figure out what I've got. I'd love to identify the year, and I'm wondering whether any parts are interchangeable with similar , I'm on the hunt for parts, a wiring diagram, and any other useful info. The engine turns over, but it’s missing the key and the actual ignition setup.

 from near Salisbury, UK.

If the US had forces personnel stationed in Indonesia, then it might have been brought into the US with one of them on their return.

It's a 1967 YL2C which was a US model sold here.

Bikes like the 100cc YL models and the 80cc YG models enjoyed a long run in countries like Indonesia where they were sold for decades after being sold in the US for a couple of years in the 1960's.
