CT1 piston pin length was created by adguy2112

Hi all, just received partzilla delivery on a 71 CT1 Top end, the replacement piston pin is 10mm shorter than what came out of the bike, i now see an alternate pin number is listed as well 251-11633-00-00 with the shorter pin #137-11633-10-00. anyone come across this and what wax the preferred resolution? figuring the other part number is likely a longer version,

The # 251 pin is the correct one for a 175 . The # 137 pin will be for a 125 .

if you take the part number in question and put it in partzilla search, you can then check bikes this part will work on. use the "fitment" option.

hmmm...glad there are other dummies out there because this just happened to me a few months ago! Not sure how it happened....maybe I was shopping using my pdf parts manual and read wrong number from the AT page instead of the CT page.
Anyway, I discovered the mistake (after having my rebuilt crank and new piston assy balanced)...right when installing the piston onto the rod with the engine back in the frame. Thought about it a couple days and decided I could never forget if
I kept with the wrong pin. So tore down the engine and paid a bunch more to get everything re-balanced with correct pin. An expensive set back but its all back together now.
