Plugs for tach and speedo cable holes was created by Guitarking65
I am currently thinking about taking off the gushes on my 1977 DT400 but was wondering where I could get dummy plugs for the Speedo hole on front wheel and Tach hole on the engine case to plug holes after cable removal. The bike is not pristine and has no papers. Getting it road legal would take alot of time snd $. I love riding it off road.
i know Kedo makes plugs for the xt 500 Yamaha but not sure if these would fit my bike. Thanks for any help.

If you don’t plan to ever go back to using the cables, then what I have done on a few bikes is to actually cut the cable and leave the ends inserted in the receiving holes. Then push a typical rubber cap over the cut cable. The rubber caps are available at any hardware store.

Thanks that would work . I wondered if some of the Mx series would have pen plugs that would work. I looked up parts on other models like an mx175 but not sure if they would work.

My 74 MX250 does have a factory installed plug on the engine.
The front wheel hub does not have any accommodations for a speedo cable.
