Yes, bloody confusing isn't it! 

Page 90 of the CT1C Service Manual refers to using the white/red from the mag for extra charging, but the wiring diagram shows the green/red and no white/red. 

Double yellows and blacks on both, though.

Alan, I believe the white/red is the colour for the CT1-A night time charging circuit, the CT1-B and CT1-C have the green/red wire for the night time charging circuit.
Still doesn't explain the double connectors, which I lose no sleep over

I am looking at a genuine CT1C service manual, First Edition, printed July 1970. It only has about 96 pages! I think yours is the combined manual.

I won't either, now. However, at the time of raising my initial query, it might have been related to the problem.
