My Dumpster Find - was created by YamahaForumUsername

Just curious about How much of this bike is stock. Dad called me one day and asked if i wanted him to go pull 2 dirt bikes out of the town (81 people) dump before it they got hauled off to the real dump. he Used some chains and the front bucket on his tractor to pull them out, then delivered em down to me, he had a 1971 Suzuki ts185 and 1971 DT1E.

Yeah the color and stripes are a bit wonky but it is all I had laying around my garage. It is a combination of Rustoleum ``Gloss orange", "Yellow", and some 15 year old "viper red" acrylic enamel, over some rustoleum black "automotive" rattle can. I took the orange and yellow from their rattle cans with a nail and a hammer, sprayed them with a horrible finishline HVLP spray gun. I Glue pulled the majority of the dents out before body filler. Once it warms up ill actually get some PPG DBU/DCU and take my time with the stripes (lol they look wonky).

So far i've changed the cables, shifter shaft (shifter was bent in a U shape), case half ( chunk of case near shifter was missing, i'm assuming from their drop into the dumpster from some height), oil seals,  and installed a cheap PWK carb i bought for 12 bucks on ebay. Carb has worked flawlessly despite being 12 bucks. It Starts on 1 or 2 kicks and runs pretty good so I guess I won the chinese quality control lottery.
