LED 6V flasher relay recommendation ? was created by JRunk31

I have a 1971 CT1 that I have been trying to get lights working on. The LED strip tail light with signals and even the brake light work (but signals won’t flash yes I used a two prong LED flasher relay but found out it needed an 8W light but my LED strip is less than 1W.

Can anyone make a recommendation on a 6V 2 pin LED flasher relay that has a 0.1A to XX.XA rating so that I can get my tail lights to flash???

I’ve been chasing wires and everything and finally think I’ve got this l figured out.

Are you using front turn signals?

I do not have the front signal lights hooked up. Would that be a reason my neutral light isn’t working? As a DC function it should work with the key on but I have no neutral light.

Found it but it’s not LED and amp draw is too high for LED tail light.

I’m just thinking out loud if you use your front turn signals with a regular bulb wouldn’t it be enough wattage for your flasher. Maybe I’m crazy

That may very well work to get to 8A draw. But, I read in here somewhere that the LED flasher relay will not operate with LED and incandescent bulbs so i swapped out all bulbs to LED. Also, this CT1 wasn’t sold with any signal lights so it’s all new to me but it did have factory wiring in the loom for signals.

On my 69 Mustang conv I used a led taillight and a incandescent bulb for my front blinkers and it worked fine I know it’s 12v but should work with 6v just my experience

Thanks! That one looks good.

I ended up going with :

www.classiccarleds.co.uk/products/6v-ele...V+flash&_ss=e&_v=1.0

from classic car LEDs in Europe. It’s a 2 pin flasher relay with a ground and goes down to 0.02A up to 20A load!

im hoping it will work with my less than 1 W draw LED light strip.
