Probably’ more than a year and a half ago a gentleman called with what I remember to be a 1971 YAMAHA DT1 Enduro. It was before the last Gorman Ride when my Yamaha CT1-C blew up. He had bought it off eBay purchased a few Headlight / Speedo / Tach parts. He disassembled it wanting to do the restoration. I just had finished and sold a 1973 Honda CL 125 last Thursday. So I decided to rattle his cage ( just a little bit this morning ) since I made a bunch of room in my shop, Friday and Saturday buying 6 light weight used Shelf Units to cover one 20’ wall. He texted me with back a very fair deal. Right now’ sight unseen I am considering just assembling it without paint. That could easily change. Tomorrow, I start on a 1972 Yamaha CT2 no start project. Carburetor first. The Yamaha market has changed so dramatically in the last 25 - 36 months that just getting a Badge Bike even in 100 pieces seems like a huge windfall. Since it is completely disassembled I might call it “HURRICANE KATRINA.” Sounds legitimate. Pictures will follow. In about  3 hours I roll up on Her..

Complete bike with a straight front low and rear steel primed fenders. The clutch actuator chain cover is not cut but a nickel size piece missing on top. The guy was extremely well off.

He admitted that I was right’ when I told him; “that he’s never going to make the time to put the bike back together.” Oh well
It will get prepped for frame / swing-arm paint. The orange the mandarin orange tins look pretty good particularly the oil tank. I didn’t see the badges, headlight stuff it’s probably in a box if he had it. **** I was in no position to start cherry picking through everything. Hand him the money and get it in the truck quickly as possible. Thank you sir.. Everything is still in the truck. I promised pictures. I wouldn’t let the group down. ( bill of sale type machine )
IT HAPPENED … The bike is name is JORDON named after the Country.. Yama-Hottie.

Perhaps I don’t know enuff, but the back fender doesn’t look like one from the older bikes.. mine hugs the tire more…
I hope you are on an “assembling” project…
Sneezles61

The metal rear fender must have been purchased later. I don’t have the plastic rear fender.
