Sorry but it is a badge bike! was created by msavitt
First off a happy Father’s Day to those who are good fathers!
ok, it’s not an enduro but it does have badge! I am desperate to understand how the gas tank is secured beyond the four damper bushings. I have complete striped and rebuilt per partzilla exploded parts diagrams to insure I don’t miss anything. Nowhere I look shows anything about this. I guess the seat holders it down but that’s not enough to keep it from bouncing if I hit a few vertical Gs.
can anyone help?
Thanks!

One of my first bikes was a DS7 . The four rubber dampers held everything firmly in place .
Maybe your dampers have shrunk . Only the rear ones do any real gripping ,
as the front two sit in the frame pucks .

Snug fit for sure. Mine takes a good tug to release it.
Seat is there plus petcock and crossover fuel lines won't let it move up much anyway.
Or you could wrap some duct tape around tank and frame?

Think the seat overhangs a little so the sift cover sits against it quite hard.

Thanks everyone, this bike is so cool
I am going to def replace dampers.
The ones up front, albeit captured are lose. And the back ones def do nothing.
