1968 DT1 tank color was created by djetmb
I joined this form when I had an AT3 since sold but I just acquired a Canadian spec 1968 DT1. Partially restored and thankfully 95% complete. I need some information on the correct white for the tank. The tank is in excellent condition with the undamaged red badges but the paint has faded to a creamy look. Does anyone know the color code or best match? Thanks for any help and nice to be back.

No paint codes. Yamaha called it Pearl White. Marbles Motors custom makes it.
How about posting some pictures?

I saw an antique show once where someone had an old piece of furniture that had been painstakingly refinished to a stunning shine. It was worth about $1000.
The appraiser looked at the "before" pictures and told the owner had they left the old faded finish alone it would have been worth over $10,000.
I feel the same way about these old bikes... sometimes they are rusted and beat up and just need paint... but I strive to keep the patina whenever possible.

Thanks for the input. I'm leaning towards leaving it the way it is. I see parts that are 1968 specific have extortionate prices on e-bay. It just arrived so will try and get some pictures.
