Battery for RT1 360 was created by Dusty
I have a 1971 RT1 360. What is the correct battery to use? The batteries that I have found online are smaller than the battery box (3x3) or is this correct.
Thank you very much

Hi, think they're only a very small battery, next door to useless. Someone more up to date than me will be along. I assemble & fixed then new back in those days but in hindsight i thought they had a deeper [say taller] square shape battery, [square top measuring same each way]. Been wrong before so probably wrong again lol. Found this on first google, be it right or wrong. Cheers & welcome if you're new.

Right, so that's the square top one, except for the terminals sticking out. Interesting--says %20 more cranking power haha. Must be for the electric start RT1 [that's be a big starter motor to turn that monster--or not].

I have a Yuasa 6N2-2A-3 in my '71 RT1B-360.
Just to confirm: the '68-'71 DT/RT have a smaller battery box than the '72-'73.
For the '72-'73 I have the Motobatt MBT6N4.

That 6n2-2a-3 battery is the same battery I recently put in my '71 CT1. I just checked Amazon, and it fits a '71 RT1 as well. It doesn't come with electrolyte, but I took it to a nearby Ducati dealer, and they were kind enough to fill it up for me no charge.
