Bike is AT1E....What do these numbers denote?  I measured the cylinder approx  56.2 mm

Yep she's still std after 50 years. If its at 56.2 its close to first over .25 so might need to go to second in one hit to be sure of cleaning up 56.50. Just my thoughts.

Be careful buying a piston kit just incase people advertise them as AT1 & turn out to be AT2 with reed holes.

If you think it's likely you need a rebore then it's best to take it to the machine shop and get them to check the bore size and confirm whether you need first or second over or if you actually need a rebore in the first place.
Once you have that information you can source what you need and go from there.
How did you measure your bore?
