Hi all,

I have an opportunity to purchase a rusty but complete '71 CT1 175. I have a '73 DT1F 250 that has good front, rear, and decent wheels.

Would the complete front end and rear end of the DT fit on the CT1?
Thanks

What I've been doing to see IF parts will swap, is to go to a partszilla look up the bike you intend to re-build.. look at the part and write down the part number... THEN.. go look at the donor bike on partszilla and look at the part that you want to swap.. Obviously, the first numbers refer to which bike is which, but then the next set of numbers will help you determine IF they are compatible... It takes some time.. but I have to believe, many others have done this... Call it... Education... It helps me answer my questions.. for the most part..

Sorry to be a wet blanket , but Sneezles information is incorrect .
He is right in that the prefix of the part number identifies the bike ,
but the second section only identifies the type of part , and does in no way
signify compatability .
An example would be a std piston for a DT 250 and a DT 360 .
The prefix number is the only difference in the part number ,
but physically the 360 is 10mm larger diameter .

As for your original question . I believe that fitting the entire 250 front end ,
triple clamps included , has been successfully done before .

Yep pretty easy to navigate with video bottom right, chat room on left & lap timing there somewhere. One of my boys mans a camera for Ctas & flew down yesterday. I forgot it was on until just now & see Tony Rees finish second if was looking back correctly. Go that man.
