Morning Simon.

I've seen some Yamaha switches where that small metal clamp/wire holder is attached to the base that the wires are soldered to, thereby giving some support.

The attached photo is of a non standard one, but you get the idea.

Just need to be careful that you don't accidentally earth the switch!
