Wheel hub bearings was created by my68dt1

Cleaning up wheel hubs for my 68 DT1. I noticed all bearings were not sealed type bearings, but only sealed on one side. Was this for the repacking of wheel bearings?  Which no one ever did. Unless there is a good reason I am replacing my bearings with sealed both sides. Which should last my lifetime. Stan

I think they were all shielded on one side on the brake side to protect them from brake dust. Like you, I always replace them with bearings that are sealed on both sides. Seems to make sense.

Cheers
