68 DT1 headlight bulb was created by tvrc18

What holds the headlight bulb in the housing? My rubber part is shot and the bulb is held in with tape. Looks like the rubber part is available but kind of pricey. Not sure if the rubber part holds the bulb in or a clip or something I may be missing.

Just the rubber holds it in and they do perish and rip over time.

Here in the UK you can buy a complete holder + rubber for about £10 posted. However, this seems such a waste to me - hopefully someone like Sumo can start supplying just the rubber retaining rings.

On some sockets, you'd probably have to cut off and replace the bullet connectors in order to fit a new rubber ring.
