L2 in trials? was created by Yamakazi
I have a trials event soon and i was riding my 69’ yamaha l2g today and i was wondering how it would do and if it was worth trying? Of course i would change sprockets and ive already got a bash plate and wide bars

I don't like to go negative but not a good idea. More than happy for you to prove me wrong & hope you do. The L2CA we sold to farmers would be good with high-low box & fat knobbly tires plus had plenty of ground clearance. Only one i could find is this with the twin rear sprockets but the next year had high low change knob on the side. Unless i misunderstood & you have one of these. The L2G you said is the road version low pipe etc where i am.

Ok here in Australia up in the bush near bendigo and places like that the dealers would put dirt almost trials like tires on it high mudguards and all that and a slightly larger rear sprocket but not the dual ones mine is all of this so its basically a yl2 trailmaster but without the weird dual sprocket thing i think ill take it and another bike and ill give it a go nothing too major but yeah

I take it on trails and it can even go over a few large logs

Hey--Australia, yeah we do things like that in NZ too so sounding more do-able by the minute.
