The wire from the starter button is what I'm talking about.
can't find a place to plug it in.
Should be a blue wire open?

Goes to starter solenoid.  I think it's actually blue with a white stripe.

if you still have the factory wire harness, the starter button wire will connect to it's mate in the headlight bucket wiring bird's nest. And Blue/White sounds right.

Thanks for the input and diagrams.
will look for button push start in headlight bucket.. would have never done that!
99 percent of my bikes are racers, so the electrical stuff I have to suffer through!
