1969 AT1E footrest bolts was created by whs386
In search of the bolts (912-02200-18-00 replaced by 97027-08018-00) that hold the foot rest assembly to the frame for 69 AT1E. I sheared one off when I removed it last week... they seem unavailable everywhere (unsure why??). Anyone have a good source, or what the dimension of the bolt may be? Or where I could look to find out the dimensions?

Are you certain of those part numbers? I only ask because CMSNL shows the part number as 97021-10018 (assuming I'm looking at the right part!).
Anyways up, often the dimensions of a screw and bolt are shown within a part number. If the last five characters are "10018" then it is a M10 bolt, 18mm long. If "08018", then a M8 bolt, 18mm long.
Hopefully there is enough left of the sheared off one for you to measure the diameter, for confirmation.

Thank you for that, could be why I can’t find one! I’ve attached screenshots from the parts manual that I downloaded from this site, showing the part as 912-02200-18-00
Partzilla has it as 970270-10018-00
I do see CMSNL showing the one you mention. I’ll measure tonight when home from work. Any ideas with thread pitch? 1.25?

Well, clearly I can’t read and partzilla has the number as 97027-10018-00 (instead of the one I typed above)

I measured the other bolt I had for the footrest and it came to 10mm. I had an M10 bolt x 1.25 pitch I use to remove the armature and it threaded in nicely. M10 it is, length 18mm.
that being said, is there a difference between 97027-10018-00 and 97021-10018-00? Still same size bolt. Just different model years?

I'm pretty sure the 5th digit on a bolt is the plating type so functionally no difference... appearance might be different.

Yes, my understanding of the 5th character in the first block of five is the same as Mark's - I just wish I could find a schedule of what number relates to what finish!
I would suggest that the part number in the original manual of 91202-20018 is a typo (surely not, I hear you all cry!).

Are you still looking for some footrest assembly bolts? I have a couple of good used ones you can have. 10mm dia x 1.25 pitch x 18mm long. Free, just pay postage. My location is Scotland. UK
