That link JAYB put up in post #6 from the tech library for a 360 should be the same but a much clearer pic--if it'll download for you. & if it's relevant to the US models--i don't know. Lookin good though, just looked at your pics.

Thank you all.
Couldn’t wait and went for a nice long ride w/o headlight. Motor amazing and chassis really nice and the diachi fork tubes was an amazing upgrade. In comparison to dt360 this one is a bit slower, much smoother overall and much better mannered at high rpm low load. Also feels a bit shorter.
does anyone know if I get a earlier version headlight that I think the 69 or 70s used with a replaceable bulb that it would fit the 71’ dt1e headlight bucket?
one last step is to paint the exhaust with some 1400F paint.

Brackets should be movable but might need to loosen the top triple if it won't swivel. loosen it as in the center nut on the steering stem plus the clamp bolts. Don't think you'll need to though. I ran twin headlights side by side on my ride to work bike, DT250 mono about "78 model. Think i got the silly idea from a desert race winning RT1 in about "70 haha.

Why not just get a readily available 5 3/4 H4 headlight lens/reflector, spring clips, and a 6v 35watt H4 bulb.... dozens of threads on the topic.
Oh, and California law does not require the headlight to be on during the day on bikes manufactured and first registered before 1-1-1978...
(Some states do have laws that say any motorcycle headlight has to be on when riding during the day. California is not one of them.)
