Inner fork tube options for DT1E was created by msavitt
My new money pit continues towards the finish line. Both forks fairly pitted and one leaks. Put a extra seal I had on leaking side to see if I could get lucky, no dice.
so I am thinking about two options, but before I act on my myopic impulses I thought I would seek expert advice from this group on the following options and to see if their are options I missed:
1. Buy a set of new replica such as these for couple hundred...unless they are turds
www.dcvmx.com/xcart/product.php?productid=187594
2. Get originals rechromed and ground. Found a place in N OC, zero idea how much or if they are any good
3. Better options that I haven't thought of.
please advise and thank you.
Martin

I used the DC Plastic ones on my DT 175B rebuild, I am happy with them. They look good, fit good and don't leak.

If those new ones are any good, I would immediately go that route. I just emailed them about my CT175 because I was just quoted nearly 500/pair from a hydraulic cylinder place in Los Angeles to rechrome and grind my 30mm tubes.

agree completely
before I do I am going to take them fully apart and carefully inspect...my 360 seems more pitted and they do not leak after cleaning up with 0000 steel wool and new seals...crap shoot whether they leak, so I am leaning towards just getting new tubes once I get a test ride in and insure that everything is good. Been working overtime, got the wiring harness back to stock and everything working

I have the Dachi tubes from DC Plastics on three of my bikes. Great product made in Japan and no pits and guaranteed straight. Enough said. I usually have a spare set on hand from them because they aren't always available. Put a set on my RT1-B last year and have a set sitting here for my current project...78 DT400E. Those are a different part number though. You get it...I'm sold on those tubes.
