Speedo and tach compatibility was created by msavitt

I have a DT1E and am considering some 72 or 73 units in better condition. Partzilla says part numbers are different but mounting stuff looks very similar perhaps same.

does anyone know if units from 72 or 73 will work - as in correct ratios from wheel and engine - on a 71?

as always thank you.

Yamaha meters are the same in terms of internal calibration so they can be interchanged in that respect.

Drive ratio is adjusted at the drive end (drive gears in wheel or tach drive gears in engine).

Mounting can be different.  I'm not familiar enough with those models to know for sure if mounts are the same.
