Glad I am digging in, it will run better and I will derive more pleasure!
my new DT1E has a terrific bore, piston and bottom end but clearly a lighting coil was damaged since I had very strong spark before putting engine on bench.
I guess I could hunt down a new coil but that's too easy. Does anyone know what gauge wire and how many turns? If not I will have to count and determine gauge.
thanks!

Might still throw a light even with damage if not severed, except i guess they're touching each other through lack of varnish. Damage done i guess by someone trying to hold the flywheel still.

This one doesn't look right--too long or is the other lighting one on your stator but keep looking on ebay i guess.
