My bike is not in good enough condition to do a full OEM restore, so I am basically building a rider here.

That being said, I wanted to do something slightly different on the tank without deviating too far from the original look of the bike.

(I took the idea from this VW pic)

For me I'd have the tank completely in that beautiful burnt copper with the standard stripe in white.
It does have a 50's Corvette look about it though.

I'm generally a traditionalist, but I think your avatar looks great, if that's what you are talking about. Looks like a pair of shoes my sister's Ken doll sported back in the 1960s. And we all know what a BMOC Ken was back then!
