Might be easier to get new rivets and make one good one out of two.

Wow that sucks they were both broke, did you buy them from ebay? Did they break during shipment.
I have seen drilling the rivets and swapping the clutch cage. A guy on the KDX forum modified a clutch, drilled the basket and installed a Rekluse clutch
Thanks Mark

I'm not sure I'm ready for drilling out the clutch cog and installing something not spec.

Yer I broke the first one... My bad.

Second one came with a smashed up fixture on the back.

This last one can with a pin cracked off ( pretty sure it was due to shipping)

Man it's frustrating and all the parcels are so slow and getting moved globally.

I'm happy to install another clutch basket that may be more available in the UK, but which one!?

It looks to me like the rd200 clutch basket could be the same as the one on the at1, anyone know for sure?

Given that the part numbers are different, I'd say a provisional no.

It looks like the AT and CT bikes share that same part and a brand new one was sold in the UK a few weeks ago.

Your best bet for finding anything here is probably via DK (ebay user id twowheelspares). Nothing there at the moment and you might end up having to buy a partially complete engine.

I assume that you've asked for your money back for the broken one?

Ok so new clutch basket in ( sorted in the end)

So for a provisional wiring to test it out.

Can I simply remove all of the unnecessary wiring that I won't need to test that I have a spark and the engine turns over or will this still need to be grounded.

I was planning on attaching the battery, a new electronic voltage regulator, the condenser and the starter Dyno and ignition coil to see if that is enough to get it going?

I think that all you need is one wire from coil to points. However, I am an ignoramus on that side of things, so search forum under something like "single black wire" and you should get some of the previous posts.

If I remember, you have the 12v starter/generator model? Minimum wiring for spark is wire from battery + to coil + and from coil - to points (orange?) Battery - needs to be grounded to frame and engine needs to be grounded to frame.

With battery connected, opening the points will create a spark. Engine does not need to be spinning to test for spark like on a magneto bike. (Basically it's the same battery coil ignition system cars used to have... so if you're familiar with those, should be easy to understand.)

I'm not sure about your "electronic voltage regulator"... that's not a common thing to find for a DC generator/starter so I'd be careful there... not needed to start the bike anyway. Can you tell us more about it?
