Room for a small one? was created by Gr8uncleal
Can't believe that Gr8auntiepat asked me if we had room for it!

Thanks.
A 400/4 F1 in red was my first "proper" bike back in 1980 - I couldn't believe the engine braking

, having owned a RD125 previously!
I also built a 400/4 from parts for Gr8auntiepat in the living room of our first home together - she might even have helped me put the engine in!

I did have a moment when I realised I hadn't measured the 'bars vs the width of the front door

but, as it turned out, it did fit through ok. This bike is actually still in the village where I live, and I am hopeful that the lady who currently owns it will sell it back to me.

Fantastic bike. I had the yellow one. Of course, being the early 80s it had the obligatory two- four seat and Dunstall silencer with the adjustable noise end plate and bolt reymoved and thrown in the bin.
It handled beautifully. A bit eager to ground the exhaust though.

My original one had the Dunstall "Decibel", as has my other previous one that is still in our village. They sound awesome with the original Yoshimura exhaust and Delkevic still make one and that sounds nice as well.
The one that I put together for Gr8auntiepat initially had mixed tank and panels, but it got treated to a yellow respray from Dream Machine (when their prices were reasonable) for one of her birthdays.

That's a nice one Al. There was a time when that bike looked monstrous to me. That would be about 1976.

Evening Bernie!

I think that the CT1 will have to go into the greenhouse over the winter. Talking of which, I rode it this afternoon for the first time since getting it - only round our small close using a dummy tank, as my three all need mending or replacing!
