No i've not seen damage like that on one of those. Must have had a hell of a life, blimey, poor little motor.

Hope your crank goes better than mine.
The pins were not as tight in the crank wheels as they should be.
Was too easy to move when truing it up.
Options to fix were out of my price range so i just carried on.
Got it trued up good but was always worried that it might move.
Bike ran as it should untill i eventually sold it. Fairly narrow well supported crank.
