Mystery O-Ring was created by ZTatZAU
I'm in the process of reassembling my 74 GTMXA and don't know where this O-ring came from.

I'm usually pretty careful keeping track of parts but this O-ring just appeared in my container of parts trays from the bike and engine. I'm hoping it shouldn't have gone somewhere inside the engine cases I've just reassembled.
Any ideas?

I'm not sure where you mean, pabdt.
I took the exhaust pipe, muffler, and tail pipe off as a unit. Didn't separate anything and didn't remove any orings.
The mystery o-ring feels to rubbery to be used on the exhaust.

Well, I look forward to seeing what that was for. Cant think of anything other than carb large enough to use it. Maybe some type of seal in that area? air cleaner, intake, etc...
