1972 DT2-250 front tire was created by StiLfun

Thanks in advance .
I just picked up a 1972 DT2-250. I’m trying to by stuff ahead of really getting into this project. My challenge is front tire.I would like to stick with the shinko brand but it appears they do not produce a 3.25-19 trials tire, but do produce a 3.50-19 trails. I did see Duro brand makes a 3.25-19, has anybody used this brand. So all that said what do you all use for this bike.

I bought the shinko 3.5 for my DT2, and while it's a great tire, I wish I'd known about the 3.25. At the time, I couldn't find the 3.25 version or maybe I did but didn't like the tread....can't remember. I had my buddy lace the wheel, and it sits a tad off center putting the brake hub side really close to the fork tube. Actually had to use a shim to gain a little peace of mind. When it goes, I'll certainly replace it with the 3.25.

Thanks for the info on the front tire, thinking I will track down a 3.25-19. I have shopped around and it seems a lot of places are out of stock for that size tire. But in no hurry. On another note, it took me awhile to find a key switch for this bike but finally used a 10 wire ct 175 switch, it works great.

I bought the Heidenau K67 3.25x19"  tire for the front of my DT2. Found it on eBay from the UK.

Looks like you have an affinity for the orange, nice BOM in the garage, I installed a complete LS2 & T56 out of a 2006 Impulse blue GTO into my 1966 GTO

Heidenau K67 tires are on all my bikes requiring the 3.25 x 19. Closest thing I’ve found to original tread pattern. I use IRC Trials on my bikes with 21” fronts. Again, closest thing to original tread pattern for those bikes.

That is the tyre that I’m currently ordering with the kenda k262 rear. The bike is looking great.

Is there any issues with two different manufacturers tyres on a motorcycle? I recall many years ago I had an issue with a car and how it handled.. I finally put matched tyres all around and my issues went away..
it just fought me going down the road.. on ice it was hair raising.

I'm with Sneezles..besides handling concerns it'll look pieced together with different makes of tires.
