DT1 keyswitch part variations was created by adguy2112

Hi All, I've seen key switches listing both 233-82508 and 214-82508 for a DT1C and partzilla shows the former number at the top of the list but I'm fairly sure the 214 version is what I have. The 233 version seems more widely available and less expensive where I've seen them available. Service manual seems to point to the 214

233 - 4 single wires (red, white, blue, black) 7 wires into the box connector (green, green/red, brown, black/white, yellow, blue/white)
214 - 2 single wires (red, white), 5 wires into the box connector (yellow, green, black, blue, brown)

Anyone here come across this and know if either could be used?

It might pay to check the part number on your wiring loom .
There is a label on it under the fuel tank . The number is
233-82590-21.

This article has some info I learned when buying a DT1-C switch a few years ago. I ordered the wrong one, and Speed and Sport said I wasn't the first. They promptly sent the correct one which had more wires.
Good luck sorting it out.
