so guys heres the latest , i spent a bit of time this weekend taking a fresh look at this issue. so i started the bike and warmed up the engine holding revs at around 3000 on the throttle screwed the idle screw in all the way and she ran for a short time and stopped . started her again and revved it while backing off the air screw all the way out and then slowly screwing it back in until she was idling at quite high revs then backed off the idle screw to get a nice even tick over. the manual does show the air screw at 2 1/2 turns . she seems to be happy at this setting. thanks for all your comments ........
