All of the DT1MX's and RT1M's and MX's had the side of the cylinder shaped differently from the enduros for expansion chamber clearance.  The picture attached is the engine from my '70 RT1M.  Obviously the cylinder is the most important difference, although the carb, head, chamber and close ratio transmission complete the package.  (I've read that SOME DT1 enduros had the close ratio transmission also but have never seen one)
