Thats why i havent cut the pins off because im not sure if it is for an RT3 or not. I dont have any originals to compare it to and the ones i took off were not the originals. Does anyone have one of the originals laying around? if so could you take a quick measurement? it would be much appreciated.

hmmm from what info i gathered off here your tank should have the pins holes. Im quite certain mine is the correct tank. Prior to paint i could see a little baja brown under the blue paint somebody sprayed on. It was an ugly tank thats for sure.

My RT2 parts book , and RT3 supplement show the Torque induction emblem alone .
No clips for attaching to the oil tank , so presumably it has double sided tape to affix .
They aren't exactly the same part number , but that could be purely due to emblem
background colour to suit the quite different tank colours .
If your torque induction emblem has pins it is most likely from a street model ,
though my recollections of the early RD 350 , was it was a sticker , rather than a badge .

The part numbers that i see in the diagram and on my bill of lading are 308-21787-00-00 and 308-21787-01-00 I think depending on which one you get that is based on the style and pins or no pins. I think what happened with my tank was someone way back when cut the pins off a 72 360 emblem and stuck it on there same with the torque induction emblem i believe that came off a 72 as well.
Heres a few pics. The left is what should be on a 73 minus the pins on the back of the torque induction and the right should be on a 72. Im probably just gonna cut those pins off but before i do i would like to know if its the correct size? does anyone have one they could measure real quick?

My DT3 is quite awkward to get to, to measure precisely, but I reckon that the 250 and Torque Induction badges are about the same length, and this length is about 90mm.

Both bikes have the same part numbers listed for the torque induction emblem. Mine is the same length as the 360 emblem im just gonna cut those pins off and be done with it! As always I appreciate all the help!

Al the original pictures I've seen show the 72 with the taller/longer torque induction emblem and the 73 with the shorter version that's about the same length as the displacement badge.

Displacement badges look slightly smaller in 73 as well.

Which is exactly what House of Enduro posted way back a bunch of posts.
