I know Yamhoper got some cheap universal ones... IIRC he said they were half the price or less than those ebay ones... can be seen on bike here: yamaha-enduros.com/index.php/forums/cust...29-1974-dt250a#79901

You might try sending him a message or replying to the thread and maybe he'll get back to you. I don't think he's on here too much.

I know others have too... just don't remember who... search might find something?

P.S. The "jumping" thing is liability... probably made in China and quality might be suspect? Or maybe just because they're aluminum? That's what yamahoper bought too... even spent a lot less I think... and he didn't break one the first ride or two we went on... and he rides hard. You could ask him how they've held up.

On and I just remembered Makotosun made his own wide pegs on the TAT bike I think... just notched some bar stock to make "teeth" and bent and added to stock pegs.

I would not use anything but steel on a dirt bike that gets ridden as designed.

Johninga,

I'm using them on my RT-3, and IIRC they are the stock footpegs for a Yamaha PW50. Cheap, they fit, and they last.

A potential heads up. From only two exposures to 'wider' pegs, one XRL, another KLR;
at least 'some' of the wider area extended forward on both pegs....hence, shortening
the distance to both shifter pad and rear brake lever pad. For larger boot, or MX boot
(ie yours truly) this made shifting and rear brake operating more awkward/difficult.
Distances being shorter I was not as comfortable with.

Similar to another mention.... one friend of mine got some band steel, arced it, made
his own in order to remain close to OEM distances.

I will get around to fabricating/modifying some pegs in the future only I will not carry
on the 'tiger teeth' thing, leaving solid line steel. Ever have a day when you had
to ride barefoot? ...or with sandals? (Makes the water hole expeditions happier :)

Back in the early 80s, I used to give my elderly female next door neighbour a lift home from the pub on the back of my not overly quiet Honda CB750F1 ("I don't need a helmet dear, my headscarf will do"!).

Some interesting comments. I agree with the comment regarding the use of steel, and they probably do come from China. I had also thought of the possible re-positioning of the rider's foot to pedal, but was thinking about the fatigue factor for myself.

So, Hammer, are the ones you show from a Yamaha PW50 then? OEM? I will have to investigate.

This was/is what I have done for my 360A. A set of MX footpegs from a similar year MX'er. Don't recall the year or model of the donor. They work fine, I was just curious as those 3 sets popped up on my radar.

LOVE the pic of the S90 with your gran!!:likey

I did the same on my DT360, installed MX pegs. They are narrow but advantages are, 1- they are further back (big dirt bike boots), and 2-they are not rubber, don't want to slip off.

Thanks Mark
