I'm no authority on the matter, but the 175cc bikes came stock with a rack, which is a bit small for the 250cc and 360cc bikes. They had factory racks available but were an additional item so they are quite rare. The 175cc rack can be adapted to the larger bikes, but is far from a bolt on accessory.

Following on from darinm's reply, be really careful when looking for one - take the measurements of the fitting points both horizontally and vertically/diagonally on your bike and ask the seller to check the same measurements on the rack for sale. I have seen many ebay listings for racks supposedly for a RT2/3, when in fact they are for a DT360/400, and vice versa (the 360 racks also fit the equivalent 250 models, I believe).

Member Devin is an expert. He sometimes has them for sale too if you ask him for what you need.

The 175 racks are cheap to acquire and they can be modified to fit almost anything if you can weld or know someone that can weld. I'm not that great of a fabricator, but I cut, stretched, and reshaped the mounting arms to fit on my SCR950 and it seems appropriately sized.

Just joined the fan club!! I have a 78 DT400 that i am rebuilding and i have looked all over for a rack for the back. I think I read some where that a member might have a few kicking around or even fabricates them.If anyone can point me in his direction it would be really appreciated.
